I contemplated what to open my blog with for quite sometime. I had some brilliant, well I think they are, ideas, but the start was definitely not the right place for them. I also didn’t want to have some pretentious opening about my journey to get here. I think my journey was bunch of individual steps, some big and some small that brought me to who I am and why I have this blog.
Instead I wanted the opening post to be simple. My style will be somewhat pinched from the opening of a book I came across in a bookshop. Like most books, you have a nosey at the opening page or two to get a feel for the writing and the flow. This particular author thought to lay it out very clear. He told me exactly what I was in for and if I didn’t like it, I had fair chance to get out of it early.
So here it is, this blog will be about veganism. It will be about what veganism can do for your health, for the health of all sentient beings and for the health of the planet. I will highlight some scientific studies I have come across that are both informative and that will arm you with the stats most non-vegans seem to need. I am also, as the blog name suggests, an avid cook. So this blog space will be an outlet for me to showcase recipes I have tried and love, some I have adapted, and some I have created myself.
